8 Wellness & Mindfulness Tools I Can’t Live Without
Over the past few years, I’ve completely redefined what wellness looks like for me. After spending years pushing through burnout, overdoing high-intensity workouts, and living in hustle mode, I’ve learned that true well-being isn’t about doing more, it’s about doing what actually supports my body.
From healing my nervous system to focusing on somatic tools and gentle movement, these are the eight wellness tools I can’t live without:
1. Infrared Sauna
My infrared sauna has become a non-negotiable part of my routine. I use it 3-4 times a week for deep relaxation, muscle recovery, and nervous system regulation. It’s my favorite way to unwind, detox, and shift into a parasympathetic state (aka rest-and-digest mode).
2. Red Light Therapy
Red light therapy is another tool I use regularly to reduce inflammation, support adrenal health, and aid muscle recovery. It has been a game-changer for my healing journey especially as I focus on balancing my energy levels and improving overall wellness.
3. Walking & Grounding
Walking is my go-to form of movement, and it has been especially helpful as I focus on low-intensity workouts that support my hormones and nervous system. I also love incorporating grounding by walking barefoot outside, soaking up natural light, and using my walks as a mindfulness practice.
4. Somatic Tools (Breathwork, Body Scans & Shaking)
Since working with a somatic coach, I’ve added breathwork, body scans, and shakinginto my daily routine. These simple but powerful practices help me release stress, regulate my nervous system, and feel more connected to my body, especially when I’m feeling overwhelmed or overstimulated.
5. Yoga & Gentle Movement
I’ve shifted away from high-intensity workouts and started focusing on movement that supports my body, rather than depleting it. Yoga, stretching, and mobility work have been essential for:
✔️ Releasing stored tension
✔️ Improving flexibility & mobility
✔️ Helping me feel more grounded & present
6. High-Quality Supplements & Functional Nutrition
Healing low cortisol and adrenal fatigue means I’ve had to get intentional with my nutrition and supplements. Some of the key things I focus on:
✔️ Electrolytes to stay hydrated & support adrenal health
✔️ Magnesium for stress relief & muscle recovery
✔️ Protein-rich meals to keep my energy stable
✔️ Whole, nutrient-dense foods to nourish my body
7. Journaling & Self-Reflection
Journaling has been a powerful self-care practice for me. Whether it’s brain dumping, gratitude lists, or checking in with how my body feels, it helps me slow down, reflect, and process emotions in a way that feels supportive.
8. Skincare & Beauty Rituals (With a Self-Love Focus)
My beauty and skincare routine has become more than just a habit, it’s a self-love practice. Since starting my “fake tanning-free” journey, I’ve been embracing my natural beauty, prioritizing skincare, and finding ways to feel good in my skin, without relying on external validation.
My nightly skin care routine is not only a great habit, but it’s a ritual that reminds me to put myself first.
At the end of the day, wellness isn’t about doing the most, it’s about doing what makes you feel your best. These eight tools have been essential in healing my nervous system, regulating stress, and finding balance in my body and mind.
I’d love to hear, what are the wellness tools you can’t live without? Let me know!
